We are all sinners. Every single person on the planet. Zero exceptions. Being a good person or doing good things does not pay the debt of our sin or earn our way into heaven. The cost of our sin is spending an eternity away from God.
"...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23
Jesus came to earth, as a real person, living the perfect life without sin. He willingly died on a cross to become the ultimate sacrifice, paying the price for the sins of the entire world. He was an example of true love and forgiveness.
"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.
Believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins. And that he rose from the dead on the 3rd day.
Turn away from your life of sin and commit to living for Jesus.
Dear God, I repent of my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I truly believe that you sent your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for me and that He rose from the dead on the 3rd day. I confess you as my Lord and Savior and commit my life to you. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Amen.
